Quick Question: How Would You Like to Consume RSS?

Wondering something... if you subscribe to multiple feeds from the same site (NYTimes, Washington Post, ESPN, Flickr, etc.), would you rather subscribe to one RSS feed that combines all the content you want to read in a single feed? Or would you prefer to to continue to subscribe to multiple feeds from the same site?

Your comments are, as usual, much appreciated (you can also email me: reemer at gmail).

Well, I'd like both. Right now, I really enjoy reading Bill Simmons' RSS feed, and I'd be pretty pissed if I had to wade through a whole bunch of page 2 stories (or worse, all espn) just to find his articles.

However, I would also subscribe to a feed that said "These are all our big stories right now" and included columns, breaking news, and the like. It would have to be relatively low-volume for me to subscribe, though. I would say, no more than one per hour on average?

I personally prefer to have multiple feeds. That way I can decide what I feel like reading and when. For example, I used to have the NFL feed but I found that seeing 70 files in the folder was too intimidating. So I dropped the whole thing and just picked up Mortensen and Pasquerelli. All of a sudden the whole thing got a lot more manageable (at least in my mind).

Hope that helps.

I personally prefer multiple, as then I can pick and choose, but don't see anything wrong with "both". I like the ability to constantly refine my newsfeeds as I find myself either reading or no longer reading certain feeds. I wouldn't want an all or nothing approach.

Both.

Andy Katz' RSS feed, btw, hasn't been updated in weeks.
