Goo'vite Kicks Evite to the Curb

Mark Hurst over at Good Experience launched Goovite recently.

It's a dead-simple invite manager that is what Evite should be. The problem is that Evite is now owned by IAC/InterActiveCorp, which means that the revenue it drives probably has to support at least 10 employees, and so you get lots of banner ads, intersitial ads, and extra features that will drive more impressions served. At its heart, though, it's just an invitation manager, which means it can be done much more simply.

Over breakfast in San Diego, Mark told me that he'd looked around and had found nothing easier to use, so he decided to build it himself. Goo'vite was the result. Hilariously, Mark prefaced telling me the name of the product with an explanation: "Goo'" is short for "Good" (he runs the Good Experience Live conference and the Good Experience blog for his company, Creative Good), and so he figured that it would make a good prefix for this product. It's definitely a memorable name.

Anyways, try out Goovite for your next big pig roast or mojito Monday. It'll make your life much easier than Evite.
