Google often chooses speed over safety when making decisions

This is posted on Xooglers, a fantastic new blog that I've discovered that provides insight into Google's culture from their former Director of Consumer Marketing. From the post: "One engineer holding [the power to shut off access to Google] speaks to the assumptions inherent in Google’s culture. Individuals were considered capable of weighing the effects of their actions and presumed to have the best interests of the company (and Google’s users) at heart."
