Finally, economists are working to value the intangibles that often drive success in a knowledge economy--things like reputation, environmental externalities, and interaction with the community. Love this quote: “Some people think the logic of econometrics was handed down by God, but it’s actually the result of 40 or 50 years of economists and accountants arguing about corporate performance.”
