in an RSX isn't a great idea. Neither is peeling out of the dealership parking lot in first gear, or stalling 6 times in traffic. It had been 8 years since I last drove stick, mind you. Good thing Doug The Salesman wasn't in the car with us, because Geneve did not appreciate the smoothness of the ride at all, and I'm sure Doug would have appreciated it even less.

Finsterwald's advice was sound--remembering how to drive stick on a dealer's car wasn't such a big deal. I even reassured Doug it was like riding a bike before I laid some rubber down in the dealership parking lot.

I'm becoming aware of the fiscal pain in the ass of owning a car, and I now don't know that I want to drop so much on a set of wheels. So I'm thinking about renewing my love affair with old-school Volvos.
