Over the weekend, I bought a new receiver

.

In Univeristy, I used my parents' old Pioneer receiver from the mid-70s. You know the kind--it had big silver knobs and a rotary tuner. The thing is older than I am and it worked great, but I had to leave it when I moved.

So I used my $150 gift card from my old co-workers at ALS-TDF (they paid me to leave) and put it towards a Yamaha HTR-5550.

I haven't hooked it up yet, which has been agonizing. Okay, not agonizing. Painful, maybe.
