Today I made a boo-boo

. I needed to get something accomplished, and so instead of taking the time to find out the appropriate people to send email to, I assumed that the "Corporate IT" email list was the proper one to send my trivial request to.

Aaron, the Director of IT of ESPN and my boss, cruised by my cube about two hours after I sent the email, laughing.

Turns out the email I sent went to about 50 people, among them the CIO of Disney.

He, in turn, called Aaron, asking what the hell my email was about.

Lesson learned.
