Quite Illuminating
A couple weeks back, I was looking for a good online site to buy a cool lamp for our dining room.
I found nothing, which was surprising. I am decently familiar with this whole Internet thing, having used the web back when Yahoo! was located at http://akebono.stanford.edu/~yahoo. My first exposure to the limitless possibilities and unquestionable value of the Internet occurred in 1993 when I logged onto IRC to trash-talk a couple of Los Angeles Kings fans about the Leafs-Kings playoff series that year.
But I digress. The long-winded point I was trying to make is that because I have been using the medium for 10 years, I know how to find things on the web. Which made it annoying that I could not find a ecommerce site that sold cool lamps at reasonable prices.
That was until today, when I ran across YLighting.com, via a forgotten blogger to whom I am thankful.
Aside: I wanted to link to a recap of that 1993 series, but after a cursory search, I couldn't find one. Interesting, and not surprising, I guess.

Oh dear. Your excitement over these lights reminds me of that scene in 'Old School' where Frank-the-Tank can't take a hit off the keg 'cause he's got a big Saturday of Home Depot and Bed Bath & Beyond lined up. Sigh.
Life in the 'burbs.
