Don't Panic.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is being turned into a flick, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, the film's stars have been cast. Zooey Deschanel (yum), Mos Def (word), and Martin Freeman (who?) will star as Trillion, Ford Prefect, and Arthur Dent, respectively.
Apparently Douglas Adams wrote the screenplay, but the Reporter states casually that Karey Kirkpatrick came on for a re-write.
I hope the movies are as quality as the books.

Anyone wanting to do the premier of this movie in true Hitchhiker's style should come to Ottawa, where you could celebrate the pre- and post- show at Zaphod Beeblebrox in the market where I had my first (a) drink in a bar, (b) quart bottle of beer, and (c) fall off a barstool. Their signature drink is the Pangalactic Gargleblaster, which is poured in a large glass with lots of ice, and contains: 1 oz Jack Daniels, 1 oz Peach Schnapps, fill with Fuzzy Navel, then top with Blue Curacao. This, and (b) from above, was why (c) happened.
