Geneve and I are in San Francisco for a few days. The last time I saw gas prices this high was four years ago when we stopped at the last gas station for many miles while driving Highway 1, which is the coastal route between LA and San Francisco. I recall that gas was around $2.25 per gallon back in 2000 at that gas station on Highway 1.

I can only imagine what it costs now.
