The worldwide leader

Our site traffic analysis vendor at ESPN provides a fascinating picture of the visitors who come to our site: it's a world map with countries color-coded by the number of visitors from each country. Yesterday, for example, the ESPN.com Fantasy Games domain had 4 visitors from Iran, 5 from Malawi, 8 from Afghanistan, and 9 from Pakistan. The real surprises, though, were 375 visitors from Turkey, 509 from the Phillipines, and 915 from Venezuela, which gives it the third-most visitors to the site, behind Canada and the US.

The crazy part is that fantasy games are a niche--it's unlikely that people go to the site to check up on the latest sports news. Rather, they visit to find information to give them an edge in managing their fantasy teams.

I'm sure there's a joke here about ayatollahs and OPS, but I'll leave it to you to come up with.
