Starbucks Density in the 'burbs

Perhaps the best indicator that one is living in a rural area is the density of Starbucks within a 5-mile radius of one's residence.

For example, Geneve's old place in SoHo had a whopping 162 Starbucks within 5 miles, and my old place in Boston had a respectable 55.

My digs in Connecticut? Five. Five stinkin' Starbucks within five miles.

Sheesh, I'm surprised it's even five! They must be including things like Diver's Starbucks home espresso machine as a "location".

Even more stunning is that there are _two_ Starbucks within five miles of ESPN Campus, and one is in the local Price Chopper.

Kareem, I think there are at least two Starbucks locations within five miles of the ESPN campus that aren't inside grocery stores.

There's the Bristol location on US 6 up by Stop 'n Shop and Vita's. And then the one in Plainville just off 72 and across from McDonald's and a couple blocks from J. Timothy's.

Or is the Plainville location more than five miles away?

btw, the licensed stores are garbage. They're not operated by Starbucks and standards are lower. I'm thinking of ones inside Barnes & Noble, grocery stores, airports, etc.

The guy at http://www.starbuckseverywhere.net/ is a fanatic.

Oh yeah, and there are 84 Starbucks locations within 5 miles of Smith Tower, downtown Seattle. Crazy.

Don't feel bad... I live 10 minutes from the Lincoln Tunnel in NJ, and I've only got 3 within 5 miles.
