Podcasting with Boxscore Radio

Speaking of co-workers who are doing cool things, two dudes I work with--Sean and John--have started a podcast called Boxscore Radio.

It's about music, sports, and anything else Sean and John find interesting. On yesterday's Boxscore Radio podcast [direct download], Sean interviewed me about RSS and why it's relevant to a mainstream audience (it starts around 25:13.)

I'm kinda surprised that I don't sound like a total dork, but I did notice that I chuckled a lot and killed jokes, instead of trying to stick to my usual "throw as much shit at the wall and see what sticks" formula of engaging in (arguably) witty repartee. I think the laughter is an old nervous habit--my math teacher used to tell me he always knew I was befuddled (and thus nervous, as I was more of a behind the scenes guy than the center of attention) when I turned away from an unfinished problem on the chalkboard with a smile on my face.

Anyways, the Boxscore Radio podcasts are pretty entertaining. This is the first one I've listened to, and it totally blew away my (admittedly low) expectations. Sean and John have good chemistry, and I can see why podcasting is taking off--I really responded to their authenticity and passion for the things they were talking about, enjoyed some of their stories, and actually laughed out loud a couple of times (and not because I was nervous, either.)

So, give Boxscore Radio a listen, if you're into that sort of thing.
