Hurricane Katrina Sadness
It's often the individual stories that occur during a disaster that drive home the tragedy.
Today, I saw one of the saddest things I've seen in my life. A reporter approaches a random man on the street, who tells his story about watching his house split in half and losing his wife, who tells him to "take care of my children and grandchildren". The pain on this man's face is palpable, and it brought me to tears this morning.
There is no way to link directly to the video, so you can watch it on CNN by going to their video player, searching for "man", and clicking on the "Heartache for hurricane victim" video.
And, you can donate to the Red Cross hurricane relief fund through Amazon.
