[-Shanghai-] Holy crap, I'm in China.
Things to know about Shanghai, according to Rowat:
1. "Keep your elbows sharp, and keep 'em up. It's nothing personal, but you gotta fight for position in a crowd."
2. DVDs for $1!
3. "Don't try and apply logic to things that don't make sense here."
Didn't sleep much on the 12 hour flight. Sat next to a Chinese-Canadian who had done his PhD in Electrical Engineering in Norway, done the Science and Technology MBA at Queens , was a colleague of Tim Berners-Lee in Switzerland, and is now running a broadband company in Shanghai. Had lots of interesting stuff to say.
Also, we saw Mount Fuji as we flew by Japan.
