Web 2.0 Summary: Kevin Lynch of Macromedia

Macromedia has built a development environment to rapidly build and deploy Flash-enabled Web 2.0 services.

Walks through Adaptive Path's Measuremap, which ties Flash and DHTML together nicely. Announces tools to make Flash development easier: new VM, XML programming framework, kick ass developer tools: Flexbuilder, built on Eclipse. Walks through Flexbuilder to build app that pulls in Flickr photos by tag--builds it in ~7 minutes. It's an impressive rapid development environment with lots of hooks.

Launches October 17 at http://macromedia.com/go/web2.
